¿Que es el Confotur?
El Consejo de Fomento Turístico (CONFOTUR) es el organismo encargado de la aplicación de la Ley 158-01 de Fomento al Desarrollo Turístico para los polos de escaso desarrollo y nuevos polos en provincias y localidades de gran potencialidad, y sus modificaciones.
Tiene la facultad de determinar, mediante resolución, la clasificación de los proyectos turísticos o actividades turísticas que resultarán beneficiarias de los incentivos contemplados en la ley.
El Confotur es presidido por el ministro de Turismo y lo intregran los ministerios de Hacienda, de Medio Ambiente y de Cultura, o sus representantes; un representante de la Asonahores; un profesional en impacto ambiental, seleccionado por el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente; un representante del Ministerio de Cultura y el viceministro Técnico de Turismo.
What is Confotur?
The Tourism Development Council (CONFOTUR) is the body in charge of applying Law 158-01 on the Promotion of Tourism Development for poorly developed poles and new poles in provinces and localities with great potential, and its modifications.
It has the power to determine, by resolution, the classification of tourist projects or tourist activities that will benefit from the incentives contemplated in the law.
The Confotur is chaired by the Minister of Tourism and is made up of the Ministries of Finance, Environment and Culture, or their representatives; a representative of the Asonahores; a professional in environmental impact, selected by the Ministry of the Environment; a representative of the Ministry of Culture and the Technical Vice Minister of Tourism.
